The Barrel Component affects Weapon damage, range, initial bullet spread and Player run speed. Barrels can be fitted to all primary Weapons however the 9mm Pistol and .45 Pistol share a unique set of Barrels, while the Shotgun secondary Weapon also has unique Barrels.

Barrels are grouped into six categories in-game, although the statistics of individual Barrels are different, each group provides a general set of advantages and disadvantages, explained below. All observations below are made against the 'default' Barrel, the Frontier B.SEV (seen to the right).

Group	Pros	Cons
Balanced	Average stats that provide good spread, damage, run speed and range.	As the name implies, does not provide strong stats in any one area.
Short	Provides a good boost to run speed in most cases.	Can reduce damage, range, initial spread, or all of the above.
Extended	Greatly increases range and also reduces initial spread in some cases.	Can reduce damage and run speed.
Tactical	Provides a boost to damage and run speed.	Reduces range and increases initial spread.
Assault	Increases damage, also reduces spread and increases range in some cases.	Reduced run speed, can increase spread and reduce range in some cases.
Heavy	Provides a significant boost to damage.	Increases initial spread, reduces range and run speed.

Standard Barrels

Note: Stat changes are different depending on what receiver you are using. The stat change will remain positive or negative, only the amount will change. The below are only a guide for now
