Sub Machine Gun

The SMG is available in the Marketplace at Level 1. This weapon excels at close range, but a speed build is best suited for this receiver due to being able to get closer, faster.

The SMG is primarily is used for running and gunning while hipfiring. The low recoil and max spread allow for better sustained fire at the cost of being generally inaccurate.(however due to the low recoil, aiming down the sights can be used for extended periods of time before becoming too inaccurate. This sustained fire often makes the difference in short-mid range combat with cover). The SMG (including its Burst Fire and Tactical cousins) and the Bullpup Full Auto are the only primary receivers that by default give you increased running speed.

The Sub Machine Gun can also be permanently unlocked by purchasing the CQB Kit.
