Overview[ | ]

The Muzzle Component affects a large number of Weapon characteristics including damage, range, recoil and bullet spread. Since muzzles have almost an indistinguishable weight from one to the other, they do not affect the player's running speed. Muzzles can be fitted to all primary Weapons and all pistol class secondary Weapons excluding the Revolver.

Muzzle OvermarchFBRX Example

Muzzles are grouped into three categories in-game, although the statistics of individual Muzzles are different, each group provides a general set of advantages and disadvantages, explained below. All observations below are made against the standard issue (default) Muzzle, the Overmatch FB-RX (seen to the right).

Group Pros Cons
Flashbrake
Flashbrakes that decrease damage will usually improve recoil, spread and range. Flashbrakes that increase damage will usually negatively affect recoil, spread and range .
Suppressor
Somewhat reduces recoil and muzzle flash, decreases maximum bullet spread and reduced the audible distance of gunfire. Reduces damage, can also reduce range and increase initial bullet spread.
Silencer
Greatly reduces recoil, muzzle flash and silences the weapon, also reduces maximum bullet spread Reduces damage, range and increases initial bullet spread.

It is also worth noting that some weapons have a maximum amount of damage they can do per shot, so some Muzzles will only provide negative stats in certain situations.

List of Muzzles[ | ]
